Keyword Tool review: our take
Keyword Tool mines the autocomplete of 16 platforms, Google and Bing but also YouTube, Amazon, eBay, TikTok, Reddit and the app stores, which makes it one of the few research tools that treats search as something that also happens outside Google. The free version returns up to 750-plus suggestions per term, with no account and not a single volume figure.
Volumes, CPC and trend history start at $88 a month, or $68 billed yearly, for 50 requests a day and 12 months of history. For keyword research alone, that is steep. Serpstat's Individual plan costs $69 and adds 10,000 position checks and a 30,000-page audit, so Keyword Tool earns its premium only when YouTube, Amazon or the app stores matter as much as Google does.
What Keyword Tool does
Keyword Tool generates long-tail keyword ideas by querying the autocomplete of 16 platforms, including Google, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, eBay, app stores, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and Perplexity. The free version returns suggestions without search volume and needs no account. Keyword Tool Pro adds search volume (Google and Bing from their keyword planners, other platforms modelled from clickstream data), cost per click, competition, trend history and bulk volume lookups, through the web interface, an API and an MCP server.
