Search Console now shows several countries' traffic combined

Google updated the filters in Search Console's performance report on October 6 to make traffic easier to compare across countries and devices, according to a Google Search Central post. The practical change is in the country filter: a site that operates in several countries can now see their combined Google Search traffic in one view.

    Why it helps

A site serving, say, the US, Canada and the UK had to read each country separately in the report, or export the data and add it up elsewhere. Now a regional total is one filter away, and the trend for a market made of several countries can be read directly. The post gives no further detail on the device side of the update.

    What it doesn't change

The filters change how the data is grouped, not how much of it there is. The report still keeps sixteen months of history, and tables still show a limited number of rows. For longer history or larger exports, a tool that stores Search Console data on its own schedule is still the answer. Several are listed among our SEO analytics tools.
