Wappalyzer review: our take
Wappalyzer tells which technologies a site runs: CMS, framework, ecommerce platform, analytics, payment processor, CDN and more than a thousand others, detected from the page in the browser and exportable to CSV. For an SEO sizing up a prospect or a competitor, that answer is free and takes one click.
The paid plans serve sales teams. Plus at $10 a month, or $100 a year, adds company and contact data and 200 lookups; technographic lead lists start on Pro at $250 a month. Nothing here checks titles, headings, links or schema. Detailed SEO Extension covers that on-page side for free, and the free Ahrefs SEO Toolbar adds redirect and HTTP header tracing.
What Wappalyzer does
The free browser extension detects the technologies on the page you are viewing (CMS, frameworks, ecommerce platform, JavaScript libraries, analytics, payment processors, CRM, CDN and more, over a thousand in total) and can export the result to CSV. A free account adds 50 technology lookups and email verifications per month and 5 website alerts; the Plus plan adds company and contact data inside the extension. Paid team plans build technographic lead lists, enrich CRM records, monitor stack changes on tracked sites and expose the data through an API.
