Algoroo review: our take
Algoroo answers one question, and answers it for free: was yesterday a rough day in Google for everyone, or only for you. It rolls the movement of a fixed keyword set into a single daily volatility score, the "roo", and marks the updates Google publicly confirmed, so a traffic drop can be laid against the timeline in a minute.
The reach is narrow. Only google.com and google.com.au are covered, desktop and mobile, and it reports nothing about any one site's positions. That job needs a tracker, and among the alternatives AgencyAnalytics sells one as an add-on at $41.67 a month billed yearly per 500 keywords, on top of $25 per client. Algoroo is where the investigation starts, and it ends somewhere that charges.
What Algoroo does
Algoroo monitors a set of selected keywords and adds up positive and negative ranking movement into one daily SERP volatility score called 'roo'. It shows a timeline with detected high-volatility events, weekly winners and losers, and annotations for Google updates that were publicly confirmed. It is developed by DEJAN (Dejan SEO).
